Dr Bodo Schroeder

Veterinarian

Dr Schroeder holds a wealth of knowledge in especially small animal medicine. He is a professional student and continuously develops his veterinary skills and knowledge. In 2014, he obtained his BVSc(Hons) degree, in the field of small animal medicine and clinical pathology, with distinction. Apart of his special interest in small animal medicine, he enjoys the challenges of soft tissue surgery. His passion for animal welfare is exuded only by his love for his family. Dr Schroeder owns two little Yorkshire Terriers, named Yogi and Bubbles. As a keen mountain biker he is always ready for the next challenge. Always innovative.

Ivan Mthombeni

Professional assistant

This mild mannered professional assistant has been with our hospital since 2007. He has a remarkable ability to calmly work with any patient and proudly exudes a quiet confidence in his ability to do so. True to Wilgers Animal Hospital slogan “Total veterinary care”, Ivan adopted a beautiful German Shepherd rescue named Faith. He is an avid soccer fan and enjoys the occasional jog around the block. Always on top of the situation.

Lucky Seloma

Professional assistant

This lucky go happy professional assistant has been with our hospital since 2011. He is not only a professional assistant but also our very handy handy man. His strong work ethics and friendly nature makes him a true asset to the hospital. He is passionate about the welfare of animals demonstrated in him rescuing a sprightly young Border Collie pup named Buddy from a rescue center. Always ready with a helping hand.

Vicky Daum

Vicky has been with our hospital since 2011. She takes pride in developing relationships with all of our clients and pets. She’ll make you feel like a part of the family. She shares her home with her two dogs, Marmite and Sasha, three cats namely Chloe, Daisy and Muffin and husband Barry. Vicky enjoys being able to help people and pets with all of their needs and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Always ready with a friendly word.

Marlene Louw

Front staff

Marlene is the newest member of our hospital and started with us in late 2011. She is very detail oriented and loves learning on the job and educating our clients.When she is not at front busy with her admin duties, you can find her hugging the hospital dogs and scratching kitty chins. At home Marlene divides her attention between her husband, pet bunnies Andy and Billy, and Basset hound, Rudi. Always ready with a smile.
